BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) sector is looking for a motivated college student interested in a career in electrical engineering. We have an intern position available for the summer of 2020 and we are seeking a talented inspired individual who wants to join a diverse team at a dynamic company where technical excellence is highly valued. At our Greenlawn NY facility we design, develop and produce Identification, Mission Computer, and EO/IR equipment for the US Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Army and for worldwide customers. We offer a nurturing environment that allows you to continue to learn as you will be part of an experienced hardware team and will participate in many aspects of the development lifecycle under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Specific assignments may include design and development of specific components, circuits, compilation of data for research and investigation. The selected individual may perform other duties and responsibilities, such as laboratory-related assignments and analysis of test data. As part of the BAE Systems hardware team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the designs of complex electronics used on many platforms.

Preferred Skills and Education
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors program, majoring in Electrical / Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of digital logic, analog circuits and its hardware implementations.
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Sophomore or junior engineering student
About BAE Systems Electronic Systems
- Knowledge of VHDL (VHSIC Hardware Description Language) and FPGA's (Field Programmable Gate Array) experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of a Schematic Capture type tool is preferred.
