Your Purpose As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Bresslergroup, you work alongside engineers, designers, and researchers in a dynamic development environment. You participate the daily activities of the Mechanical Engineering team, creating meaningful solutions to challenging product design problems. You take a lead role in the mechanical design of innovative medical devices, consumer products, and commercial projects by driving mechanical conceptualization, design definition, detailed development, engineering analysis, prototyping, and technical documentation. As a Technical Lead, you also oversee the work of other engineers, enjoy the opportunity to mentor your juniors, and may engage in several projects at a time. While your primary role is technical, you are also comfortable managing projects too, as needed. Key Responsibilities Execute mechanical design activities: CAD (Solidworks preferred), design for manufacturability for a range of manufacturing processes (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), prototyping, testing, engineering analyses including FEA simulation, and technical documentation. Oversee the above mechanical design activities of other engineers as a project Technical Lead. Drive engineering excellence by acting as a mentor to junior engineers and working with the Director of Mechanical Engineering to improve departmental processes and procedures. Oversee and support the planning and preparation of design deliverables and client presentations. Ensure deliverables are met per client expectations and project proposals More About You You have a Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (advanced degrees are a plus). You have at least 10 to 15 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, primarily in product development. You have experience working in multidisciplinary teams and an understanding of what those disciplines do and how it affects your work. You may have experience working in a consulting environment and are familiar with how they operate. You are clever. You have a true passion for mechanical engineering and product development, as evidenced by your career and education choices, and enjoy applying your skills and creativity to challenging design problems. You are familiar with every stage of the product development process, and possess technical knowledge of mechanical processes and materials. Your background may show that you have electromechanical or conceptualization aptitudes. You have a track record of successfully managing some portion of complex and accelerated product development programs. You have excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills ? all needed for frequent client interactions. You are curious. You like to explore new territories and learn from others. You have a keen understanding of mechanical engineering methodologies and tools and are constantly finding ways to improve them. You are eager to learn new skills and apply them to client projects. You are confident. You are confident in your technical abilities, and are comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, because sometimes that allows for the most unique, unexpected design solutions. You want to work in an environment where things move quickly, and you?re happy to adapt as situations shift.
