Job Description

Working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, the Automation and Control Design Engineer will be responsible for both hardware (Analog and Digital) and software design for manufacturing and test equipment that will allow Client to industrialize the manufacturing process and increase existing capacity as well as introducing new products to market.

The Automation and Control Design Engineer will work as an individual contributor and be a part of an engineering team to design, test, install and maintain production line manufacturing and test equipment in a global environment.

This position requires the individual contributor to be responsible for all aspects of the system design of the equipment including hardware control system architecture, both PC and PLC based, system software development, configuration management and creating documentation packages.

This position requires the individual to be able to work within multi-disciplined product teams to ensure that the end equipment is both cost effective and optimal to meet the needs of the business.

Along with system level design, having the ability to work with embedded systems based on various custom and off the shelf ASIC's and protocol interfaces is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Electrical- Electronic Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
o C/C++/C#
o Network architectures and management
o Analog and Digital Design, System Integration Conceptual Knowledge,
o Solid Trouble Shooting Skills
o Configuration management
o Excellent communication skills
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
o Minimum of 7+ Years' Experience working on hardware/software design, test and integration
o PLC programing (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron)
o 10-20 % international travel in support of Client's manufacturing sites
o 2-3 years of quoting design and development projects
