We are looking for a Senior Technical PowerPlant Engineer I to join our dynamic team. Our Senior Engineers will join teams that work with our customers unique set of specifications and requirements; it is this customer-based focus which is integral to our success. The successful candidate will join the PowerPlant Engineering department of MTU AENA. This Senior Technical PowerPlant Engineer I is responsible for the management of gas turbine engine overhauls performed on specified customer aircraft fleets for the Geared Turbo Fan program. He/she will support the technical management of Fleet Management Program maintenance, repair and overhaul contracts in order to minimize expenditures and improve engine maintenance interval/reliability. To be a successful candidate, a Senior Technical PowerPlant Engineer I should possess the following: Maintenance planning including shop visit workscopes Evaluation of hardware teardown conditions for potential limit increases, part repair development or part redesign Invoice deconstruction/trending/findings assessment identification of cost drivers Business case development impact to financials Provide inputs on contract financial forecasts Service bulletin technical/business assessment Shop visit technical support in order to limit workscope expansion Resolution of technical or business questions/issues the engine center may have on specific engine or program requirements Apply new knowledge, procedures and skills to own job and assist others within them team to do so Present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Ensure deliverables are completed on time and with a high level of quality; adhere to schedules and meet demands, thereby creating credibility and trust Use available resources to assess problems and identify the best solution Requirements for the position include: Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in a relevant field 5-12 years of related engineering experience 3 years of technical experience in appropriate discipline Occasional travel may be required Eligible to work in the United States without Sponsorship MTU AENA takes pride in offering a competitive total compensation package and adheres to a philosophy of work-life balance.
