Are you the
experienced Account Manager (AM) with a strong track record of sales success,
eager to contribute to our Global Sales division! Our Corporate Account Manager
vacancy can be your next challenge!
The Account Manager plans and manages the overall corporate account base
thats engaging in scientific research. They work with multiple stakeholders
within the corporate research community and is the primary strategic account
owner driving the overall Elsevier business (all research products) at the
account in his/her territory. This person sells into many top global
companies and manages those strategic client relationships.

productivity across research, engineering and marketing for our customers.
**Working together!** The AM is the main strategic account planner
ensuring other sales roles and Elsevier stakeholders are aligned with the
overall account strategic plan and account engagement plan. The AM encourages,
facilitates and leverages the other sales roles (Solution Sales Manager,
Customer Consultant) in order to optimize Elseviers business at the account
working with Solution Sales Managers (SSM) to drive new sales of specific
solutions, and working with Customer Consultants (CC) to ensure customers get
the most value out of our solutions so as to secure renewals and future growth.
You will report to the Regional Account Director. This position is Home Based
traveling to accounts within the region.
**Your responsibilities:**
+ You are responsiblefor customer loyalty and customer satisfaction. This means you are the experton the customer; you know everything about the customers business, strategyand research needs, budgets and competitive products at the customer. Youtranslate this knowledge into applications for the holistic Elsevier valueproposition and the solutions we offer.
+ Prospecting Actionand New Account Acquisition is half of the responsibility of this role.
+ As the AccountManager you are responsible for meeting or exceeding the annual revenue targetsand achieving long-term growth of overall Elsevier business at the account orterritory. Next to that, you will deliver the content value story to thecustomer (project managers, researchers) and drive customer value perception ofElsevier content, products and services. Leads or drives high value, complexand potentially highly political negotiations
+ AMs are responsiblefor successfully meeting current year and longer term revenue growth goals byworking together with the other sales roles (SSM/CC) as a tight-knit team inthe territory.
+ AMs interact withvarious stakeholders at an account not just the commercial buyer and workto transform the value perception of Elseviers core offering with researchersat the account.
+ Build long-termElsevier success in your territory.
+ Responsible fornew-sales within existing accounts for all Research Solutions Product portfolio, withspecific emphasis onthe engineeringproducts: **GeoFacets, Knovel and Engineering Village,** **Science Direct, Journals, Scopus,ebooks**
+ Responsible for strategic accountplanning, ensuring appropriate input from other stakeholders, and focusing onthe customers business strategy.
**Our Requirements:**
+ Experience calling on corporateinstitutions selling complex products at c- level is desired.
+ Expertise to program manage complexmatrix of internal and external stakeholders is helpful
+ Experience using complex enterprisesoftware tool would be desirable.
+ Background in managing large complexcustomers driving customer engagement and growing sales within accountsrequired
+ Experienced in working in aninternational matrix organization is helpful
+ Strong communication (verbalincluding on-line delivery and written) and presentation skills
+ Strategic, consultative sellingapproach
+ Enthusiasm and energy is a must!
+ Bachelor's degree required
