Job Description STV currently has an opening in any of our PA locations (Philadelphia, Douglassville, Harrisburg or Pittsburgh) for a Hydraulics/Waterway Permitting Engineer with our Transportation and Infrastructure division. Successful candidate will be a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of hydrology/hydraulics engineering industry practices and capable of solving waterway permitting challenges for bridge and highway projects. The individual shall have demonstrated progressively sophisticated experience applying hydrology/hydraulics engineering methods and technologies for a wide range of projects. The individual will also have experience utilizing independent judgment managing day-to-day project work, producing technical deliverables for hydrology/hydraulics associated with transportation engineering projects. Experience with alternative delivery methods such as design/build and accelerated bridge construction is also desirable. Experience delivering bridge engineering hydrology/hydraulics models and waterway permits to Department of Environmental Protection and Army Corps of Engineers agencies is required. Primary responsibilities include serving as a task leader for hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) and waterway permitting activities for transportation projects across Pennsylvania. A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to execute technical decisions to achieve successful high-quality project delivery of H&H designs and waterway permits on complex and non-complex projects including: highway, bridge replacements, rehabilitations and preservations. They must also serve as the sealing engineer on H&H Reports and quality control for project and permit deliverables. They must integrate into the project delivery teams, manage multiple deliverable schedules and projects at once, and be able to coach and mentor staff with less H&H and waterway permitting experience. An interested qualified candidate can be located in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Douglassville or Pittsburgh Offices and should note their location preference on their application. Required Skills: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (MS Degree is a plus) and a minimum of 8 years of experience. Pennsylvania Professional Engineering License and experience with bridge engineering and hydrology/hydraulics design and analysis software, HEC-RAS, Microstation and standard Microsoft Office Suite of products are required. PennDOT experience is preferred. Good oral and written communication skills are essential.Salary Range: NAMinimum Qualification8 - 10 years
