Certified Water Field Technician Wanted - HIRING IMMEDIATELY!

United Water Restoration (UWR) actively seeking a full-time water and mold Field Technician to become a part of our team!

Job Summary

The primary role of the Field Technician is to provide the initial response to leads from property owners. This includes calling, scheduling & meeting with property owners and managers to assess the damage and serve as the middleman between the client and UWR management. The Field Technician helps the customer understand the next steps needed to begin the restoration process - planning, implementing and supervising the extraction, drying, demolition and cleaning processes according to the IICRC S520 standard of care.

Requirements

  • Water damage restoration certification required (IICRC: WTR).
  • New York State Mold Certification and IICRC: HMRT, ASD, FSRT Certifications a plus. Company willing to provide training for the right candidate.
  • Clean, valid driving record; must pass a background check and a drug screen.
  • Must pass respirator fitness test and lift 50+ pounds.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile communications technology (smart phones, tablets).
  • Responsibilities

  • Calling, scheduling, and meeting with home or business owners to assess the damage, determine a restoration plan, and complete a scope-of-work.
  • Plan and execute remediation projects; Provide customers with a clear, transparent description of the restoration process; coordinate scheduling and resource needs with company management.
  • Maintain a safe work environment as the top priority, while applying S520 standards to rapidly remediate water, mold, and fire damage.
  • Experience with demo and removal of baseboards, drywall, cabinets, counters, flooring, and contaminated building materials.
  • Knowledge of fast drying practices, techniques to dry the job site quickly and efficiently, and determine the proper equipment needs for the space.
  • Monitoring and metering of jobs daily; contacting and following up with homeowners/business owners for daily appointments.
  • Keep detailed paperwork, job logs, notes, and digital system uploads (includes uploading photos, moisture readings, environmental readings, clean-up records and notes to document work progress). Familiarity with insurance company protocols and reporting systems (Xactimate) a plus.
  • Be available for On-Call weeknights and weekends on a rotating basis. We are 24/7/365 service provider.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and friendly, respectful demeanor. Uniforms provided.
  • Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or higher.
  • Water damage restoration certification required (IICRC: WTR). New York State Mold Certification and IICRC: HMRT, ASD, FSRT Certifications a plus (company willing to provide training for the right candidate).
  • 1-3+ years of experience as a certified field technician.
  • Solid citizen; must pass a background check, drug screen and have a clean driving record.
  • Professional ambition; has the potential and drive to grow in knowledge, responsibility, and accountability as the company grows and expands.
  • Compensation

  • Base Pay: $20 to $30 per hour, plus overtime, and on-call bonus (based on experience).
  • Great potential for rapid advancement; solid performance can lead to a Lead Technician and/or Operations Manager role.
  • Annual bonus potential based on company and personal performance.
